High Vacuum Total Fluids Extraction
View Case Studies
Aztech Technologies installs High Vacuum Total Fluids Extraction Systems
to treat sites that have groundwater, soil and free-phase contamination. Liquid
and vapor phase groundwater and contaminants (including free-product gasoline
present underground) are extracted from recovery wells at the site via in-ground
piping. The piping runs into a liquid / vapor separator which is under vacuum
induced by a liquid ring pump (LRP). Liquids are pumped to a product / water
separator by a transfer pump. Vapors continue through the LRP to the atmosphere.
Free product in the separator flows to a waste drum. The remaining liquid
is pumped to an air stripper for treatment. A discharge pump will then move
the treated water through a bag filter and activated carbon vessel to the
discharge pipe.
